Jacqueline "Jackie" Hillman Haines was born on July 17, 1925 in West Virginia to a large family. As a young woman she moved to Washington DC to work. This is where she met and married Edward Benjamin Haines. Edward was a military man so they moved several times. In their second year of marriage they proudly announced the birth of their beautiful baby girl Diane who sadly only lived to be six months old. Several years later they had a healthy boy named Robert. Edward was a musician and after his retirement from the military, they opened a music studio, Zell Music in Woodbridge, Virginia. Edward taught music classes and Jackie ran the store.

She spent many hours looking at maps from around the world. She had an extremely sharp mind and stressed to all her grandchildren to read every day. She had a dignity and class about her one could see within minutes of being with her.
She loved he r family dearly, and will be missed every day. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, Edward B. Haines; an her step-son in 2009, Edward Roy Haines.
