From an early age, he became highly skilled in drywall and painting and worked alongside his father, Ernest and brother, Brad. He later went on to have his own drywalling and painting business. He was a perfectionist and extremely talented.
More than anything in the world, Darren loved to fish and he was an extremely good fisherman. He was often found in a boat or on the ice at Round, Crooked or Kenosee Lake with his friends Randy Rapitta, Ken and Roxy Hewson, Corbin Bagu or his brother Brad.
He leaves behind his mother Barbara Frater; brother Brad Frater; nieces April (Nick, Austin, Charlie) and Cristal (Colbie, Chanel); nephew Casey Stephenson (Davan) and aunts Mary Frater (Ralph) and Elsie Frater.
He was predeceased by his father Ernest; sister-in-law Tammy Frater; grandparents Frank and Sara Peto and Anthony and Ida Frater; aunts Rose Peto and Alice Peto and uncle Emil Frater.
Words from Darren's mother..."you were one of the best and we will miss you forever and we ask the Lord, Why? But we know he only takes the best. You were quiet and never hurt no one. Till we meet again."
A private funeral service will be held.
