Wayne graduated from Central High School in Rapid City, SD in 1974 and attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Geological Engineering in 1981. He married his high school sweetheart in Rapid City on June 8, 1976. Wayne moved to Houston to begin his career at Amaco in 1982. He worked for several companies in TX, including Devon Energy, where he was an exploration geophysicist working on off and onshore projects. He received several honors and outstanding achievement awards during the course of his career. Wayne enjoyed reading and traveling with his family and was a very giving and generous man.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Joanie Tittle and his parents, Clifford and Mabel Tittle. He is survived by his three children, daughter, Tracy Tittle Winter and her husband Philip, sons, James Tittle and wife Melissa, and David Tittle and his brother, Jay Tittle and wife Jill.
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 2pm at Kingwood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Wayne’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
The family would like to thank all their friends and the community of Kingwood for all they have done for them.
