Sara attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and afterward relocated to Texas. Sara was a longtime resident of Humble, Texas where she raised her four children. Sara enjoyed her activities with the American Business Women’s Association and with Humble Main Street merchants promoting local businesses in Historic Downtown Humble. Sara lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; watching her Houston Astros, playing cards with her gal pals and enjoying conversation with her countless friends.
Sara’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children, Sharon Brittain Brokaw, Stephen Brittain and wife Teresa, Bettye Sue Raines, Becky (Raines) Ridgway and husband Mark Ridgway, a small army of grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a vast extended family. Sara is preceded in death by her soul mate Jesse Culpepper, sister Ophelia Benbrook, brother Irby Clark, step children James (Noodles) Raines, Jessie Marie King and Grace Lee Ratcliff, and grandson Larry (Scamper) Brisher.
Sara was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, great friend and companion.
Officiating Sara’s Life Celebration is Jason Velasquez, grandson.
