She graduated salutatorian from Cold Spring High School at the age of 16 and attended and graduated from business college in Houston. She worked in administrative capacities for various companies including Shell Oil, Cameron Iron Works, and Telepsen Construction through the 40’s and early 50’s before raising her children with husband Kenneth D. Moriarty. They were married almost 62 years until his passing in 2012.
She was a long-time member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, attended and taught in the Friendship-Deacon adult Sunday school class there.
Survivors include son, Keith Moriarty, daughter-in law Rosemary Moriarty, daughter Colleen Callahan, and son in-law Russell Callahan.
She is also is survived by her grandchildren: Bryan Callahan, Eric Callahan, Nicholas Moriarty, and Diana Moriarty and great granddaughter, Lauren Callahan and great grandson James Callahan.
She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, a brother, sister in-law and many dear friends.
