Ralph “Jack” Hayter passed away on November 18, 2017 at the age of 66 years, after losing his battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born February 5, 1951 in Morristown, TN. Jack graduated from The University of Tennessee and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He moved to Texas to begin a career with Mercedes Benz of North America, both wholesale and retail along with BMW and consulting until his retirement.
Jack is preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Reed Hayter and parents Helen & Jack Hayter.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Cureton Hayter, Daughter, Jennifer Sivil Blunt and husband James, all of Houston, Texas. Sister, Linda H. Turner and husband Larry of Maryville, TN. and Sister-in-law, Sylvia Slaughter of Kingwood, TX. Grandaughter: Ashlee Calverley and husband Barrett of Wills Point, TX. Grandsons: Austin Polley of Wills Point, TX. & Grayson Blunt of Kingwood, TX. Great-Grandchildren, Madilynn & Beckett Calverley and Pyper Polley, all of Wills Point, Tx. Nephews: Matthew Turner and wife Rosan and children Nick & Eric, of Tuscaloosa, AL., Mark Turner and wife Julie and children Drew and Hannah of Beijing, China. Jack Turner and wife, Whitney and children Louis and Mary of Maryville TN. Johnny Slaughter and wife, Debra of Katy, TX, Ronnie Slaughter and wife, Lyn and children, Steele, Storrey and Stone all of San Antonio, TX., and Mother-in-Law, Mildred Cureton of Kingwood, TX., numerous cousins and other family members and friends.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend to many. Jack was an Eagle Scout which enhanced his love for the outdoors. He has an unwavering love for his family and a soft spot in his heart for the little ones.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Kingwood Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Reception following.
Private Burial to be held at Forest Park Lawndale.
