Michelle Hart was born August 3, 1967 in Torrance, California to Irvin and Georgia Hart. She was the second child of their union and had an older brother Michael.
Michelle grew up in Cypress, California, attended Cypress High school and was a member of the girls’ softball team. She was also an avid roller skater, enjoyed camping and being outdoors. After graduation, Michelle married Philbert Perez and two children were born, Brandon and Contessa. The marriage ended in divorce several years later.
Michelle started her professional career in Cypress as a Property Manager, where she managed properties in southern California. After several years in Property Management, she chose a new career path in Residential Real Estate. Michelle soon realized that sales was her passion and she truly excelled in it. She received numerous sales awards over the years including Top Realtor, Top Producer and Highest Earning Realtor at her Brokage Firm. She continuously received dozens of complementary and recommendation letters from clients throughout her real estate career. As a Real Estate Professional, Michelle was a member of The California Association of Realtor’s as well as The National Association of Realtors. During this period, Michelle saw the births of two grandchildren Ava and Caydence.
In 2005, Michelle met her future husband Gregory Jones who lives in Texas. After dating long distance for a while, Gregory proposed marriage, Michelle accepted, and she and Caydence moved to Houston where they were united in marriage in May 2007.
Michelle started a new chapter of her life in Houston and began her Automotive Industry career. She started with Auto Mart as a Field Executive building trusting relationships with car dealerships. After a few years with Auto Mart, a new opportunity with Carfax became available. At Carfax Michelle increased her knowledge of the auto industry and secured long lasting relationships built on trust with dealers while becoming a top producer. Unfortunately, while at Carfax, Michelle was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. However, during this very emotional and physically exhausting time, Michelle was blessed with a third and fourth grandchild, Maleigha and Caleena.
Several years later in 2016, Michelle was able to secure her dream job with CarGurus as a Regional Sales Director. She quickly became a rising star and was in the Top Producer’s President’s Club five of the six years she served at CarGurus. This was all accomplished during the illness from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She was also recently honored in May 2022 with the “Michelle Hart Award for Exceptional Achievement” presented by Sam Zales, President of CarGurus.
Michelle was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family the most and enjoyed, traveling, bowling, online shopping and the sound of slot machines. She had a compassionate heart and a love of nature, watching the hummingbirds while sitting on the back patio. She also had a smile that would warm your heart and a pool of friends throughout the country. She never complained about anything, even during the seven years she endured cancer. Michelle was called to eternal rest on August 8, 2022 and will be missed by all who knew her.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband of 16 years, Gregory Jones; her stepfather, Larry; her brother Michael; her son, Brandon; her daughter, Contessa; her stepsister, Traci; and four grandchildren. Michelle was true to her faith and family. She will be eternally missed by her relatives, as well as the many, many friends and colleagues she touched throughout the country. Michelle is preceded in death by her mother.
