Kathleen Geralyn Kelly

Kathleen Geralyn Kelly, age 36, born Oct. 23, 1974 in Baton Rouge, LA and passed away Sept. 17, 2011 in Austin, TX. She was born to John and Alice Kelly of Kingwood and graduated in 1993 from Kingwood High School. She attended and graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. After moving to Austin, Texas, she landed a job at Hoover’s, Inc., (1999-2008) where she built a career of progressive responsibility and expertise in online content and management. Kathleen rose from an Assistant Editor to the ranks of Senior Editor, and she also served as a Product Manager. During this time she earned her MBA from St. Edward's University. Kathleen then joined Vertive as Managing Editor from 2008-2011. In March 2011 she earned a position with the executive staff with the 360training.com family as the product marketing manager. She is survived by her father, John P. Kelly of Kingwood; siblings, Kevin and his wife Patty of BeeBe, Arkansas, Geralyn and her husband, Danny Sullivan of Kingwood and Stephen and his wife Amy of Kingwood and nieces and nephew, Maegan, Kelly, Sarah, Michael, Grace and Hope. Preceded in death by her mother Alice Kelly in 1998. Family received friends from 5 PM to 8 PM with Vigil Service beginning at 7 PM on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at 9 AM, Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodbridge Pkwy., Porter, TX 77365 with graveside following at Brookside Cemetery. In recognition of her many achievements and friendships in Austin the family is planning a birthday celebration the weekend of Oct. 23, 2011 in Austin.
