John Francis Smith

John Francis Smith, 67, passed away at home with his family by his side on April 26, 2014 in Kingwood, Texas. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 28, 1946. John is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marguerite Smith, and his sister, Kathy.

John was a proud Navy veteran and member of the Knights of Columbus. Prior to retirement, John worked as an electronics technician for the US Postal Service. He loved sailing, traveling and bragging about his children and grandchildren.

John is survived by Tina, his beloved wife of 37 years; his daughter Kerri Smith; his daughter Kelly Lipkin and husband Michael; grandchildren Lauren and Jack Lipkin; brothers, Thomas Smith and William Smith; and sister, Mary Smith.

A Rosary will be held from 5:30 until 6:00. Viewing will be from 6:00 until 8:00 on Tuesday, April 29th at Kingwood Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martha’s Catholic Church at Noon on Wednesday, April 30th. A Reception will follow at Kingwood Funeral Home. He laughed often, lived well and loved lots. He will be missed by all who knew him.
