John Carlisle McDavid, IV, a man of strong faith, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. John was born on June 1, 1973 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University where he was an officer for the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. John soon entered the medical sales profession where he won several distinguished awards and was inducted into the President’s Council. John was a kind, generous man, who often volunteered at the Texas Children’s Hospital and the MD Anderson Burn Center. John’s final act of generosity was the donation of his organs, which immediately saved the lives of several others. Most of all, John was a loving father, son and brother.
John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Carlisle McDavid, Jr. and Rusty Johansen McDavid; maternal grandparents, Leon Wallace Ford and Mabel Allen Ford. He is survived by his three sons, John Carlisle McDavid, V, Nicholaus James McDavid and Marion Thomas McDavid; parents, John Carlisle McDavid, III and Sandra McDavid; brother, Robert Douglas McDavid (Lisa); nephew, Connor Douglas McDavid; nieces, Catherine Lee McDavid and Lauren Aubrey McDavid; mother of John’s precious sons, Elizabeth Llugano.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339. A celebration of John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Second Baptist Church North Campus, 22770 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
