Ricarda Barrientes

Ricarda Barrientes, age 77, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born April 3, 1935 in Nueces County, Texas to Loreto Delgado and Meletina Sandoval Delgado. Mrs. Barrientes, a homemaker, was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Barrientes.

Mrs. Barrientes is survived one son, Albert Balderas (Mary) of Bishop; six sisters, Lute Flores, Cathy Martinez, Emilia Ortiz and Santos Gonzales, all of Bishop, Patricia Puentes of Chicago, Illinois and Paula Sias of Palestine, Texas; two brothers, Enrique Delgado of Bishop and Julio Delgado of Lake Jackson, Texas; three grandchildren, Priscilla Arredondo, Ashley Balderas and Ricky Balderas; and two great-grandchildren, Elias Arredondo III and Madison Arredondo.

Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Koziol as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bishop at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
