Louise W. King

Louise W. King, age 95, a resident of San Antonio, Texas and a former longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born May 23, 1916 in Farmington, New Mexico to Olin Walker and Hattie McClanahan Walker. Mrs. King was the organist/pianist for First Baptist Church, Kingsville, for over 50 years. During the Kingsville Lion’s Club meetings, she was the pianist.

Mrs. King was preceded in death on November 16, 2004 by her beloved husband, Conant Meigs King Jr.

She is survived by one son, Robert C. King (Katherine) of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Janice Erickson (Bruce) of Maryland; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A reception will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with the family receiving friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 312 W. King, Kingsville, with Rev. Ron Earley officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
