James A. Richter

James retired from Centerpoint Gas Company after 38 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Richter, three brothers, Erwin Richter, Melvin Richter, Milton Richter, four sisters, Sophie Dube, Alice Michalk, Florence Schroeder and Lydia Bess Hlavinka.

James is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Dorothy Richter of Bishop; two sons, Steve (Betsy) Richter of Neenah, Wisconsin and Kevin (Donna) Richter of White Settlement, Texas. One daughter Andrea (David) Schluttenhofer of Graham, Washington, one step-daughter, Linda (Bill) Gunter of Bishop, one step-son, Victor (Becki) Richter of Big Spring, Texas; five grandchildren, seven great-grand children; two brothers, Eddie Richter of Bishop, Texas and Alton Richter of San Angelo, Texas and one sister Dora Domann, of Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Bishop Texas. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.
