Frank G. Valdez, a US Army veteran passed away on April 1, 2011 at the age 64. He was born to Martin Valdez and Stella G. Valdez on January 24, 1947 in Victoria, Texas. Frank was a musician, playing guitar and bass and inspired his grandchildren to follow in his path. Frank was a retired contractor. He and his wife have been Pastors at the Jesus is the Rock Church since 1997. He was in the church ministry as a Sunday School Teacher. He was a good example to all. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Amelia Valdez; daughters, Antelia Beltran, Cynthia Beltran, Sandy (Fred) Galindo, Amy (Rick) Orta all of Kingsville, Texas; sons, Salvador (Lydia) Beltran, Steve Beltran, Samuel Beltran all of Kingsville, Texas, Frank Valdez, Jr. and Fred Charles Valdez both of Victoria, Texas; parents, Gilbert and Manuela Robles of Victoria, Texas. Also surviving him are five siblings, Virginia Luna of Victoria, Texas, Maria Guerra of Houston, Texas, Sergio Rodriguez of Victoria, Texas, Mike Torres of Placedo, Texas, and David Nunez of Edna, Texas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Public visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Visitation will continue at the Emanuel Christian Church from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm that evening. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
