Robert was born on March 15th, 1947 in Knoxville, TN. After attending Fulton High School he married Linda, his wife of 55 years. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1967 and fought in the Vietnam war as a close contact loader with a mortar platoon. After returning home he worked for over 40 years for Jefferson Smurfitt, formerly known as Container Corporation of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Eaves Sr, his brother Pat Michael Eaves and sister Bobbie Jean Kelly as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other family.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Beth Dishman and husband Mark, granddaughter Lacey Dishman, grandson Tyler Dishman and fiancé Camille Tambunting, granddaughter Miranda Stout and husband Seth as well as great-grandchildren Shaun and Emi Stout. Also special friends and family, Burt and Linda Graybeal, George and Brenda Price and Fred and Marta Bittle as well as the numerous friends that Robert and Linda have both made through the years.
The family would like to extend tremendous appreciation to the physicians and staff at the James H. Quillen Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Johnson City, TN for the excellent care they gave Robert over the years as well as the love, honor and dignity they showed him during his brief illness.
A small private service will be held, to be officiated by the Reverend Fred L. Bittle.
