Buck was an avid Jericho Shriner, who took pride in transporting children to and from hospitals for treatments. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Blountville, participating in church committees and the choir. Buck also enjoyed hunting pheasants and showing horses. He served as Ringmaster at several area horse shows. Buck also worked for over 40 years at Eastman Chemical in the shipping department. He was a very generous man and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Vestal Harr Elliott; his parents, Pearl and John M. Elliott, Sr.; sister, Margaret Harr; and brother, Coleman Elliott.
Those left to cherish his memory include his special friend, Janice Litz; sister, Carrie Randich; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Litz Family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with Rev. Mary Louise Sitton officiating. Masonic Rites will follow the service conducted by Whiteside Masonic Lodge 13, Blountville.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday July 9, 2018 at 11:00am at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Hope.
