Jessie Armine Hall Bridwell, age 90, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Friday (September 24, 2010) at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in the Fairview Community of Scott County, VA, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Bertha Scalf Hall, she has resided in the Kingsport area her entire life.
Mrs. Bridwell was a Charter Member of Bridwell Heights Presbyterian Church. She retired from Greenwood Market Deli after 13 years of service.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Flem H. Bridwell, one brother, Jay Hall of Church Hill, one sister, Lou Emma Fulkerson of Orlando, FL.
Survivors include two sons, Elbert J. Bridwell and wife Jean and Raleigh S. Bridwell; one daughter, Clara B. Dougherty; grandchildren, Angela Bridwell Willis and husband Jeff of Knoxville, TN, Lucretia Mann, Vanessa Bridwell, Christy Lynn Starke and husband Scott and her only grandson, Jason Bridwell; great-grandchildren, Timothy Dougherty, Matthew Dougherty, Justin Willis, Jacob Dougherty, Ashley Byrd, Jasmine Byrd, Andrew Willis, Keke Byrd, Alexandria Mann, Isaac Mann Katie Willis, Andy Shelton, Mandy McClellan and Mitchell Starke; one sister, Dorothy Williams; one brother-in-law, Paul Fulkerson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday (September 26, 2010) at East Lawn Funeral Home and at other hours at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday (September 27, 2010) in the chapel with the Rev. Larry Hall officiating. Special music will be provided by Ruth Henley and Brenda Ball. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Bridwell, Timothy Dougherty, Justin Willis, Matthew Dougherty, Andrew Willis, Isaac Mann and Jeff Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be James Watson, David Ray, Craig Gibson, Richard Bridwell, Alan Bridwell, Bill Grills, Ron Holtzclaw, Tom Henley and Jim Townsend. Bagpipers will be provided by Jericho Shrine Highlanders.
