Imogene Ruth Morrison

Imogene Ruth Morrison, 88, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday (December 18, 2017). Imogene was born on November 7, 1929 in Kingsport, TN to the late Jesse Hensley & Lucy Hensley Feagins. Imogene married Calvin Arlandon Morrison on December 24, 1948; she later moved to Florida and worked at a local bank; she loved Calvin and thought and spoke of him any time you talked to her.

Imogene graduated from Sullivan High School and later attended Whitney Business College; completing courses in AIB, and receiving certificates of accomplishment in credit and financial analysis from Dun and Broadstreet, Inc. She was employed in accounts receivable and retired from Hajoca.

Imogene was a member of Oakwood Forest Christian Church (Fellowship Sunday School Class and Dorcas Circle. She had a love for animals, especially dogs; she would gladly show you pictures of her dogs from over the years.

In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin A. Morrison; brother, Kenneth Hensley; step-father, Fred Feagins; sister-in-laws, Onie Morrison, Gracie Hall, and Hattie Taylor.

Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Geraldine Morrison & husband Howard; special friends, Gary Beverly & wife Kitty and Wayne Darnell; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Imogene will be laid to rest beside of her beloved husband on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Marlin Jaynes officiating.
