Harold Donald Harrison

Harold Donald Harrison, 78, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, in the Life Care Center of Gray. Mr. Harrison was born on January 20, 1936 in Scott County, Virginia the son of the late William Roscoe Harrison and Georgia Mae Sproles Harrison. He attended the Promise Church and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a former employee with Roy B. Moore Trucking as a Mechanic and retired with twelve years of service as a Deputy from the Sullivan County Sheriffs Office. Mr. Harrison was a member of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 and the Gravely Ruritan Club. Survivors include his son, Larry Harrison and friend Vicky Heckman; one brother, Brice Harrison and wife Jean; two sisters, Opal Ragsdale and husband Larry and Carolyn Breeding and husband Robert; one granddaughter, Natasha Harrison; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Harold Donald Harrison will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1:00pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Everet Lett and Pastor John Lovelace officiating. Graveside Services will follow in the Garden of Mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Harrison, Larry Ragsdale, Joel Ragsdale, Robert Breeding, Jon Heckman and Bruce Bullis. Honorary pallbearers will be Deputies with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 and members of the Gravely Ruritan Club.
