Donald Haynes Lynch

Donald Haynes Lynch, age 74, of Elizabethton, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Pine Ridge Care Center in Elizabethton. Mr. Lynch was a Carter County native and the son of the late Raleigh Lynch and Mary Nell Lynch-Carroll-Street. He had retired from ABC Net as a media engineer. Mr. Lynch was of the Church of God faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Johnny Carroll.

Survivors include: his ex-wife, Patricia Lynch; daughter, Jeannie Day and husband Dan; sons: Donnie Lynch and David Lynch and his wife Ruth; uncles: Gerald Sams and wife Betty of Candler, North Carolina, and Bobby Sams and wife Sylvia of Knoxville, TN; aunt: Helen Sams of Elizabethton; grandchildren: Dylan Day, Megan Day and Matilda Lynch.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 16, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with his uncle, Rev. Bobby Harold Sams, officiating. Entombment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton, TN.
