Cornelia B. Rodefer, age 87 of Blountville, entered into rest on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Greystone Health Care Center in Blountville. Mrs. Rodefer was a Blountville, Tennessee native and the daughter of the late John William and Beulah Blair. She was a founding member of Clay Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Blountville and a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Hubert Rodefer in 1998, one son, Hubert Rodefer, Jr. in 2004 and brothers: Ed Blair, Stanley Blair, Claude Blair and Jasper Blair.
Survivors include one daughter: Pearl Stallcup and husband Eddie of Franklin, North Carolina; one son: Bud Rodefer and wife Judy of Blountville; Five Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren; brothers: Paul Blair and wife Grace and Jimmy Blair; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Rodefer will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastors Lelbert Thornberg and Scottie Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Terry Blair, Jerry Blair, Kenneth Blair, Danny Stewart, Roger Poore and Johnny Harr. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.
The family would like to take the opportunity to express their sincere thanks to all of the staff at Greystone Health Care. They provided excellent care for the last eight and a half years of Mrs. Rodefer’s life. God blessed her greatly with many friends and a second “family.”
