Charlene Moore

Charlene Moore, age 81 of Kingsport, Tennessee departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Brookdale Colonial Heights. She was born October 17, 1935 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Charlie Hall and the late Callie Hurst Hall. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Frank Moore; her sisters, Pauline Price and husband Etheridge, and Bonnie Caldwell and husband Rex; her half-brother, Virgil Hall.

She had a rewarding career for over thirty years with Bell South before retiring in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Kingsport. Charlene loved to shop and travel.

Charlene is survived by her nieces, Faye Howard and husband George of Kingsport, TN and Kaye Jones and husband Rick of Kingsport, TN; nephews: Allen Caldwell of Atlanta, GA and William C. Price of Pasadena, CA; special great-niece and caregiver, Tara Campbell; several other special nieces, nephews and cousins; step-sons, Mark Kleeman of Alabama and Dr. Kurt Kleeman and wife Gloria of Huntsville, AL; step-grandson, Steven Dailey and wife Lauren of Huntsville, AL; and step-granddaughter, Ann Kleeman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home, 4997 Memorial Blvd., Kingsport, TN 37664, with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Danny Silvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
