Cathy Carey Martin

Cathy Carey Martin, age 53, entered into rest at her residence October 13, 2013. She was born in Hamblen County, Tennessee and was a longtime resident of Kingsport. Cathy was formerly employed as a registered dental hygienist. She was a member of Adams Chapel United Methodist Church. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Ernie Carey and one brother, Brad Carey. Survivors include her husband, Tony Martin; special niece, Samantha Carey; special nephew, Josh Carey; two brothers, Doug Carey, Craig Carey and wife Charlotte. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Byrd. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Gunning’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Adams Chapel United Methodist Church or Holston Home for Children.
