Bobby Gene Hensley, 51, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord suddenly on September 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his daddy, Gaines Hensley; Grandfather and Grandmother Hensley; grandmother, Cordi Mendenhall; and several special aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his mother, Susie Hensley; his sister, Robin Hensley and partner Greg MacLean; son Bobby Alexander Hensley; special aunt, Mary Dougherty; step son, Matthew Brown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who were like brothers and sisters.
Bobby will be greatly missed, he was a man that knew no stranger, “right”; if you met him you loved him and became family instantly.
The Hensley family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Monday, September 5, in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home from 12 – 2 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm. A Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral in the Garden of David in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
