Barbara Lou Rose, 75, entered into the loving arms of Jesus during the morning hours of Friday (March 20, 2020). Barbara was born on August 27, 1944 in Bluefield, WV to the late Thomas Eugene & Mamie Helen (Swim) Boyles.
Barbara was a dedicated member of Bible Way Baptist Church. She enjoyed housework, shopping, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Boyles; infant brother, Kelly Boyles; and sister, Ann Gerads.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 56 years, Gerald Rose; son, Richard Gerald Rose & wife Sarah; two daughters, Collette Bowman & husband Stephen and Priscilla Grinstead & husband Jeremy; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday (March 23, 2020) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Vanoy and Bro. Richard Rose officiating.
Barbara will be entombed on Monday (March 23, 2020) at 2 p.m. in Mausoleum II at East Lawn Memorial Park.
