Jo Ann Hardin

Jo Ann ”Jody” Hardin, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13th , 2023 at the Kimball Manor. Cremation has been held and Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m.. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Kimball Cemetery with Pastor Lorri Kentner officiating. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Jody’s Tribute Wall and leave stories and condolences for the family. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Families Choice. The services for Jody have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Jo Ann Hardin was born November 28th 1952, in Grand Island, NE., to Clair and Evelyn Childress. Most of her friends and family knew Jo Ann as Jody. Jody and her family moved to Kimball, Ne., where Jody graduated High School. After High School Jody married and had two children Todd and Chris. Jody loved Nebraska summers where she spent a lot of time gardening and landscaping. Jody was a person who loved to socialize and make friends. She found a career in restaurant management and customer service where Jody’s bright and cheerful personality brought her success. She brought joy into people’s lives and enjoyed making people laugh. Her bright and loving personality will be missed and a great loss to those who knew her.

Jody is survived by her 2 sons, Todd Hardin of Cheyenne WY and Chris Hardin of Greeley CO. Brothers John and Debra Childress, of Pine Bluff WY and Jim and Jackie Childress of Cheyenne WY. She is preceded in death by her parents Clair and Evelyn Childress of Kimball, NE.
