Va’Quintin Carmn Maestre, passed away unexpectedly on April 8th, 2023 in Killeen Texas. He was only 18 years old. His family has been deeply saddened and broken by his sudden death. Va’Quintin was born on July 9th, 2004 at Glades General Hospital in Belle Glade, Fl.
Va’Quintin is forever loved and survived by his mother Vanessa Shaw and Step-Father Miquelle Shaw, and his siblings Vaniece, La’Shya, Shervarick, Sherriya, Samiyah and the father figures who loved him as their own as he grew up to be the young man he was. He is also loved and remembered by his grandmother Lydia Negron and her husband Julio Negron, his grandfather’s Jose Maestre Sr and Vance Winslow and grandmother’s Daphney Lynch and Karen Kerr. Uncles; Samuel, Jose Jr, Danny, Gino and Milton. Aunts; Christina, Sarah and Brittany and niece Va’Kaylee.
Va’Quintin began his life being raised in Florida where as a child he loved sports and played football and basketball and was always an honor roll student. He then moved to Killeen Texas with his mother and siblings to be closer to his grandparents and Uncle.
Va’Quintin was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. One of which was his music. He was an incredible artist and was gifted with his words. He found comfort and peace in his music and used it to express himself. One of his favorite places to be was a studio and it didn’t matter how big or small. He knew he was a star since he was a young child and always wanted to be the center of attention and danced his heart out any chance he got, it was the Maestre blood in him in which he honored his last name!
Va’Quintin’s love for his siblings were unmatched. He loved spending time with his little brother and sister taking them to church, parks and always showing up for them when it mattered most.
Va’Quintin was a beautiful person inside and out. His smile was so captivating it would light up the whole room. He cared so deeply for the people around him even though he sometimes had a weird way of showing it. He was so loving and passionate and made an impact on so many lives. He will forever be missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again.
