MSG Rogerio G. Garcia (Ret)

Rogerio G Garcia, 92, passed away on November 7, 2015, he was born on King Ranch, TX on May 7, 1923 to Leopoldo & Rosa (Garza) Garcia. He was educated on King Ranch and went to work there as well. In 1945 he served his country in the Army and retired as Master Sargent.

He married the love of his life Maria Gonzales in Raymondville, TX on January 4, 1949. Rogerio was involved in several organizations; Charlos Association, VFW, American Legion and he had special achievements as a Cattle Rancher. Rogerio worshiped at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Samuel Garcia and sisters; Antonia Sanchez, Becky Garcia and Eva Barrientes.

Rogerio leaves loving memories to his wife of 66 years Maria, children; Christine, Oscar, Alice, Cindy and Stephanie, brothers Walter and Polo Garcia, sisters; Dora Salazar and Paula Pina, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 6-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Graveside service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 12pm with Military Honors on Thursday, November 12, 2015.
