Margaret Mary Nicoloff was born April 4th 1927 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and passed away on August 15th 2018 in Temple, Texas at the age of 91. Margaret was a devoted, generous, and loving wife, mother and friend.
She attended Pottstown School of Nursing and graduated in 1949 as a Registered Nurse. She enlisted in the Army and served as a Army Nurse where she met the Love of her life Steve Stojan Nicoloff Jr. whom she married on January 30th 1953. She was a dedicated and joyful volunteer for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, American Red Cross, many Killeen Nursing Homes and as a baby rocker at Scott and White Hospital. She had a green thumb and loved to care for her garden and plants which she did throughout all 91 years. Her strength and courage amazed us all as she lived independently for over 91 years. Love and compassion for animals shined as she fed and cared for 13 feral cats. She lived a simple life and understood the beauty of watching and listening to nature. Her most favorite times were just having her family around her and enjoying conversation with a laugh here and there.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Stojan Nicoloff Jr., son Bruce John Nicoloff, and daughter Barbara Ann Sophie Boatman.
She is survived by her brother Ralph Dankel from Karneck, Texas , daughters; Sharon & Johnny McDonald from Owasso, Oklahoma, Mary Jo & Wayne Plummer from Jacksonville, Florida, sons; Steve S & Diane Nicoloff III from Mustang Oklahoma, Ralph Nicoloff & Tammy Willis from Heidenheimer,Texas, Dennis & Cindy Nicoloff from Waco, Texas, 14 precious grandchildren, and 22 precious great-grandchildren . Margaret lived the simple wonders of life, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her dearly. "Her Spirit will live on Forever in our Hearts."
Services will be held at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home 1615 S Fort Hood St Killeen, Texas. Visitation on Thursday August 23rd from 6pm to 8pm, funeral service on Friday August 24th at 10am with burial to follow at Killeen City Cemetery.
