He enlisted into the United States Army at the age of sixteen and served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 and retired from the U.S. Army at Ft. Hood, TX in July of 1972.
He was an active member of the Killeen National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). He also worked on the 761st Tank Battalion movement at Ft. Hood, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Modesta White; his children, Dexter White, Conni White, Beverly White, Charles White and Samuel Trice.
A visitation will be held for CW2 White on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 12:00PM, followed by a Service at 1:00PM. Both the visitation and the service will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home (Killeen). He will be laid to rest at The Central Texas Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 3:00PM.
