Frederick Anthony Delano

A memorial service for Frederick Anthony Delano, 15, of Killeen, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Interment services will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen. Frederick died Jan. 17, 2011, at his residence. He was born Oct. 8, 1995, in Austin to Vance Thomas Delano Jr. and Mary E. (Cox) Delano.

He grew up in Killeen and attended Sugar Loaf Elementary, Clifton Park Elementary, Bellaire Elementary, Nolan Middle School and was currently a freshman at Ellison High School.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Frank Morris, in 1994; his paternal great-grandfather, Monroe Hulsey, in 2008; his sister, Elizabeth Delano, in 1993; his maternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Philip Cox; his paternal grandmother, Nelda Delano in 2008; and his father, Vance Thomas Delano Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Cox; a sister, Shelby Delano; maternal grandparents, Peter and Patricia Cox; paternal grandfather, Vance Thomas Delano Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Billie Hulsey; maternal great-grandmother, Charlene Morris; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
