Mr. Dudeck died May 9, 2012, in Killeen.
He was a soldier in the U.S. Army and received many awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (w/silver, 2 loops), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Vietnam Service Medal (w/2 Bronze Service Stars), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Republic of Sharpshooter Badge (pistol).
Mr. Dudeck was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Dudeck.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Louella (Lou) Dudeck; son, Frank (Bubba) Dudeck and his significant other, Melisa Schutz, of Smithville; daughters, Bernadette (Bernie) Rios and her husband, Julio, of Killeen, Virginia (Gin) Christenson and her husband, Don, of Killeen; sister, Irene Bellavia and her husband, Anthony; a niece and nephew, Christine and Sal; five grandchildren, Julio (JC) Rios, Sage Rios, Alexis Dudeck, Nova Dudeck, Jake Dudeck; and father-in-law, Arthur Vigil.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Dudeck's name.
