Deborah Diane Lawrence was born August 1st 1954 in Brookhaven MS to Doyle Lee Jones and Betty Jean Keys/Jones. Deborah was best referred to as Diane by family and friends. She worked in the healthcare field as a CNA for over 30 years and has been a long-time resident of the Killeen, Texas area. Diane married the love of her life, Wilson Lawrence on July 7, 1987 and the wedding was officiated by Pastor Joda Weston. Diane enjoyed being with family and friends. She enjoyed joking around, laughing, singing and dancing. Diane will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
Left to cherish Diane's memories are her spouse of 36 years Wilson Lawrence Jr. Children, Celester German (Olimpia Foreman), Andre German (Angela), Deborah “Debbie “James (Chris Bolen), Pamela Lawrence-Pitchford, Brian Lawrence, Diane Small (Jeffery) and Tonya Lawrence; Siblings, Shirley Gunther of Killeen, Rodney Hunter of Waco, Rhonda Clark of Belton and Marsha Cowan (Willie Cowan); 29 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Doyle Lee Jones and Betty Jean Keys/Jones; Eldest son Bryant Eugene Jones and Anthony German Jr.; Brothers, Abdul Shaheed, Celester Jones and Anderson Jones; Her grandson, Brian Lawrence Jr.
A Visitation for Deborah will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A Service will occur Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Pershing Park Baptist Church followed by a Committal Service at 2:00 PM at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
