uncle, two things stand out in my mind.
FIRST, your personality.  you laughed A LOT, and talked A LOT (LOL).  you found humor in almost everything, a lot of things most of us were blind to recognize as funny, but you saw it.  and you could talk our ears off!  i remember the day my husband was tinting the windows on our old beat up car, and you were non-stop talking his ears off the whole time, literally following him around the whole car as he was tinting the windows! LOL ... he rolled his eyes at me couple times, but he just continued doing what he was doing as he responded to you now and then, and you continued to talk talk talk, LOL!.  Uncle, you marched to the beat of your own drum, and your personality kept up with your beat.  It's sad that sometimes your personality may have gone unappreciated (guilty here too) ... but now it's even sadder that it's gone and we'll never have it from you again.

SECOND: thank you.  you (and aunty keiki) and your burgundy ford aerostar van, for being there during a not-so-great period in the past.
rest in peace, i'm sure your journey home to heaven was a beautiful flight.

My fond memories with Uncle Charlie was going to Nanakuli Beach. Uncle would always come with us (the Kea Grand Nieces and Nephews). He had so much fun swimming and getting pounded by the big waves and would always laugh about it. Then there was Monday Night Raw (WWE) we would watch thru the window and whenever uncle got excited you would hear Aunty Kakie say "Charlié" and we all knew it was meant to settle down 😂😂

My last memories with Uncle Charlie was summer of 2017 in Texas at Jasmin house. Let's just say her dog was being annoying and I when punt that dog into the air adding some flips in it and uncle Charlie was buss laughing 😂😂😂 Man we had a good laugh about it. Sorry Jas.

He always was ready with a smile and hug anytime he saw me. Even in a crowd he would find me to give me a hug. I will miss seeing you come in the door on Sunday mornings.

He was known to his Abundant Life church family as “Uncle”. He didn’t speak much, but every Sunday Morning during prayer time you could expect to hear Uncle pray. He prayed boldly for his church, for his pastor, and for his family. His prayers pierced the air and I know reached the heart of God. Uncle probably never knew I was in the media booth listening - anticipating those prayers every week. It made you stop what you were doing, smile and just thank God. We’ll miss Uncle here on earth, but now he can talk face to face to the wonderful God that he prayed to. Love you Uncle!

Uncle Charles i am honor to have had you in our lives.   From the moment you stepped into Sugarloaf elem. you became a bright star in our school, children all knew you as uncle Charles.  The love you had for this children, was amazing.  The school doors would open and you  were there ready to volunteer.  I enjoyed many get togethers with the family outside of school and i thank you for sharing him with us. We will see each other again so this is not goodbye but, i will see you later . Love You


Uncle Charles we are so honored to have known you and look forward to dancing on those streets of gold with you.  Save us a good spot with the rest our the O'hana.  Love you and the whole Amina crew!

We miss seeing Uncle Charles every time we go to church!! He either hugged our necks or shook our hands and always smiling! We love you Uncle  Charles and will see you one day in Heaven! Much love to all our Amina family!

Our ohana won't be the same without you Uncle Charlie. Mom scolding you or you getting on Kamalani's nerves, those times where mom says you cant have a certain snack and you would tell Kamalani to get it for you... and he would, or the many times you would eat your food faster than Haeani and Logan especially with  no teeth!!!!,  those times where I would miss coming over the house and see you doing your crossword puzzles on the couch or back porch, or sometimes you would walk out of the bathroom with just your underwear on because you forgot your clothes in the room...
...

There are many fond memories I have of you and am blessed to have had you in my life. We love you and will miss you dearly.

 Charles Kea.  From the first day he showed up at our elementary school wanting to volunteer with his niece Mrs. Kim,  he became Uncle Charles to the whole school. He was loved by staff and students alike.  He would open the school and didn't leave until the school day ended. He became volunteer of the year several times over.  I appreciated him so much and I am honored to have known him and to have been a part of his family.  With Uncle Charles once he met you, you were family and was treated as such.  He will be missed, but I'll not grieve because I know he's with the father asking to volunteer where ever he might be needed.

I remember when we were at a younger age, Uncle Charlie would be watching  his tv shows-Magnum PI or Hawaii Five-0. Everytime there was a part that got him excited, he would rub his hands together, pat his face with both hands then pull on his ear lobe and Aunty Keki would always say, "Charles"?
That memory will stay with me for always and I just wanted to share.
