Betty Reeves passes into her heavenly Father’s arms on February 2, 2018 after a short illness. She was born on October 7, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas. Her parents, H.S. “Red” and Anna Barker died in 1952 and 1990 respectively. Her older sister, Carolyn Szymanski currently resides in Round Mountain, Texas.
Betty married Donald Ernest Reeves on April 15, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church Austin, Texas. After 53 years of marriage, Don passed away in 2003.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Debra Reeves Griffin and husband Carlton of Manchaca, Texas. She is also survived by grandson Timothy and Lori Griffin and their son Charlie of Austin, granddaughter Carly Griffin and daughters Riley, Skylar and Laurel of Kyle, Texas and grandson Nicolas and Mandy Griffin, and their sons Grant and Caleb, and daughter Lydia of Houston.
Betty was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church of Killeen and loved by all her family. She will surely be missed as our matriarch, mother and grandmother.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church of Killeen on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
