Alice Edna Brem Glasgow was born December 11, 1936 to Lenton and Lillie Brem in Gonzalez County, Texas. She was the second of six children born in this union.
Alice attended school in Crane, Texas. She did not graduate with her class but she was very proud of herself for getting her GED in 1978, after her daughter graduated high school. In a newspaper interview Alice said, “I got my GED because I didn’t want to be the only one in my family without a degree.”
Alice met the love of her life, J.T. Glasgow, in the spring of 1956. They were married on November 29, 1956. They had two children, Tim and Theresa. Alice was a wonderful Mother always supporting her kids in their activities.
Alice worked many jobs during her life, retiring from cafeteria manager at Monahans High School. After retiring she volunteered her time delivering Meals on Wheels, Retired Teachers, and the 42-Club. She was a member of Bethal Baptist Church in Monahans for many years.
Alice and J.T. spent many enjoyable days at the lake with grandkids, after they retired. They supported grandkids in their school activities. From ballgames to stock shows, they were there cheering.
Alice is famous for her Banana Pudding, pies, and being a great caretaker. She was the glue that kept our family together. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Missing their Mom is Tim and Debra Glasgow of Eastland, Texas; and Theresa Barnett of Copperas Cove, Texas.
Missing MeeMaw are Todd, Carla, Beth, Stefanie, Lenton, Shay, Kady, Lucas, Krysanne, Lauri, Matt, and Jenny.
Great grandchildren missing MeeMaw are Carly Jo, Cayden, Troy, Cooper, Hudson, Koen, Ledger, Emily, Mason, Laiken, Oliver, and Gracie.
Siblings missing Alice are Polly Byrd, Ray and Barbara Brem of Cross Cut, Texas; and Bud and Jean Brem of Gilmer, Texas.
Numerous nieces and nephews are missing their Aunt Alice.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, J.T., her son-in-law, Kenneth Barnett, her parents, Lenton and Lillie Brem, a brother, Oscar Brem, a sister, Edith Rowlett, and a niece, Anjanette Brem.
Alice will be laid to rest joining her husband at 1pm on December 4th at Pendergrass Cemetery in Sidney, Texas.
