Julian Munguia passed away on April 22, 2018, in his home of 34 years in Tranquillity California, of unknown causes. Julian became ill on January 15, 2015 and was in and out of the hospital for 3 years and 3 months before passing away. He was born in Hidalgo, Texas on May 4, 1943, he married Maria Elena Gonzalez on March 16, 1962. Julian was a migrant worker before settling in Cantua Creek, California in 1972. For most of his career as a welder, Julian was employed for Clark Brothers farming before retiring in 2006 at the age of 62. Julian spent ten years of his retirement traveling and babysitting his great-grandchildren, which we'd like to say he really enjoyed, and also attending Catholic Mass. Also during his retirement, Julian enjoyed his time exploring on his computer and communicating with friends and family on Facebook. He also enjoyed watching college football on Saturdays, but one of his most joyous times was videotaping all of our family gatherings and snapping hundreds and hundreds of family pictures.
Julian always wanted to give back to the community. One way he did that was by helping hand out boxes of food to the families in need in his community. He enjoyed reading the Daily Newspaper and drinking coffee in his Sanctuary spot which was the backyard surrounded by his beautiful roses.
Julian was preceded in death by two sons, Julian Joel Munguia and Robert Munguia; his father, Jose Munguia; his mother, Otila Munguia; and his sister, Eleanor Stone. Julian is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Gonzalez; daughters, Maria Guadalupe Munguia, Liza Ramirez, Edna Munguia, and Delma Munguia-Gong; and one son, Joel Munguia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jose Luis Munguia and Andres Munguia; and two sisters, Lucia Graham and Feliciana Silva.
Julian was well loved and will truly be missed
