Robert Giles

August 10, 1952 - September 3, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert "Otis" Giles at the Lake of the Woods Hospital on September 3, 2021.

Left behind to mourn his loss is his loving spouse, Juanita Paypompee; his step-children, Kevin Paypompoee (Michelle Oshie), Chamberlain Pinesse (Matthew Baverstock), Indiana Paypompee (Chelsea Brown) and Cassidy Paypompee (Cayne Kakeeway); his step-grandchildren, Emery, Brave, Kourgae, Quillan, Ocean, Fear, Irya, TurtlesRun, Hayzn and Azrael; his brothers, Terry, Randy and Chris Giles; her sister, Bonnie and Wendy Giles; his brothers-in-law, George (Sylvia), Wayne (Rose), Floyd, Beaver (Sonja), Winston and Damien and his sister-in-law, Annette (Par).

Robert will be truly missed by all of his family and friends and his memory will live on in all of us. He will be remembered for always lending a hand whenever you needed it, no matter the time. His compassion and support made a huge difference within the Whitefish Bay community.

A Traditional Wake service will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Health Unit in Whitefish Bay First Nation. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Health Unit in Whitefish Bay First Nation. Burial to follow at Whitefish Bay Cemetery.
