Marlene Sveinsson (nee Halaburda)
Marlene passed away suddenly August 10, 2012 at the age of 67.
She leaves to mourn her son Richard, daughter and son-in-law Tannis and Peter Kinger, grandson Tyler, granddaughter Tyra Waite, Sister Janice and husband Gary Christie.
She was predeceased by both parents Joseph and Mary Halaburda.
Marlene was born January 16, 1945 in Fort Frances, ON. She moved to Kenora in the early 60’s to begin her career as an RPN at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. In 1975 she continued to devote her career to the residents at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home and retired in 2010.
She was a person with strong character and values and supported her children. Her favourite pass time was her grandson, flower gardens and shopping.
There will be a Memorial Service Friday August 17, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre at 11:00 a.m.
