On January 7, 2020, Kristie passed away in Winnipeg at the Health Science Centre at the age of 41.
Kristie is survived by her son Kingston; husband Kevin, sister Sherri (Dave), nephews Justin and Jorden, nieces Tessa (Niko) Tyra and Talissa.
She was predeceased by her son Kingsley, mother Lorna, father Ted and brother Jess.
Kristie loved her son Kingston more than anything in this world; he was truly the light of her life. She was always so proud of him, only wanted the best for him and gave him the best that she could.
Kristie grew up in Winnipeg and in her teen years she moved to Kenora where she loved spending time at the shack with her family and friends. Kristie had a special bond with her brother Jess growing up and he was always there to protect her, as a big brother always should. After his passing she suffered greatly with the loss.
Kristie always held a special place in her heart for her close friends Amanda, Odette, Elaine, Mary and Joelle. Special bonds created that each of them will hold in their hearts forever.
Kristie had made many friends in the Kenora area and in Winnipeg, who all likely was given a name by her. (some that can’t be mentioned) Kristie always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She always gave unconditional love to everyone. She opened her home to friends/family that needed help, a hug or just to talk. Kristie was always happy, loved teasing her friends and she always had to have final say. Her humor was definitely something special. Family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to Rory Joseph who checked on her when she was sick.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing, which will be held on Friday January 24, 2020 beginning at 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 429 2nd St. S., in Kenora, Ontario.
