Jean Lois Walsh

December 15, 1937 – April 13, 2014

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean (Fraser) Walsh announces her passing at Kenora’ s Lake of the Woods District Hospital on April 13, 2014.

Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, this is where she met and married Jerry Walsh, fifty-four years ago.

She is survived by her husband, her daughters Sheryll Peavoy of Kenora, Rhonda (Dave) Walsh of Calgary, sons Robert (Gloria) Petit of Windsor, Ontario, Steven (Donna) Walsh of Georgetown, Ontario and Dan (Rose) Walsh of Sudbury, Ontario. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her three sisters.

Jean devoted her time, love and caring of her children while moving throughout Northwestern, Ontario. Settling down in Kenora she decided it was time to expand this love and caring by setting up a home childcare service for working parents. Over the next twenty-five years many children got to know and love ‘Auntie Jean’.

The family wishes to thank the Doctor’s, nurses, and staff of Kenora’s Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their support and care given to Jean in her stay at the hospital.

In Jean’s memory and love of all animals, donations can be made to the local Cat Shelter, It’s a Dog’s life or any charity of your choice. In respect to Jean’s wishes there will no funeral services.
