Thomas "Mike" Michael Roquemore, age 86, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born in Lanette, Alabama to the late Leroy and Octavia Roquemore. Mike served the Lord faithfully as a deacon at Kennesaw First Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his job as an accountant. Mike was a very intelligent man and was good with numbers. In his youth, he was in the Rose Bowl Parade as a trumpet player with Jordan Star Highschool. Mike worked at a tropical nursery in California, and his love of flowers and nature moved with him to Georgia. He and his wife kept their yard in impeccable shape and had a beautiful rose garden. Mike met his wife, Betty Lou at sixteen years old, and they were together until his passing. He was known for giving a good handshake, being honest, and being kind. Mike was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Lou Roquemore, daughters; Debbie Rose (Terry), and Linda Beebe (Vincent Sr.), seven grandchildren; Emily Rose (Stewart Bounds), Michael Rose, Vincent Beebe Jr., Catherine Beebe, Marcus Beebe, Nathaniel Beebe, and Christina Beebe, and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother; Raymond Roquemore.
A visitation for Mike will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152. A second visitation will occur on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152. A graveside will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
