Steve Edward Turner, age 71 passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Steve was born in Marietta, Georgia to Roy & Margaret Turner. Born and raised in Marietta, Steve was a 1970 graduate of Sprayberry High School. A home builder for 51 years, he was still actively employed with Brock Built Homes. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed fishing, boating, trips to the beach, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He and his family were members of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Marietta.
Steve is survived by his son Stephen Turner (Leslie); and his daughter Laura Goolsby (Brian); his sister Melinda Carter and his brother in law Scott Carter; grandson Weston Turner, granddaughter Marian Turner, grandson Owen Goolsby, and granddaughter Abigail Goolsby. Steve was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathryn Turner.
A visitation for Steve will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a chapel service at 1:00 pm with Dr. Robert Bohler officiating. Steve will be laid to rest in Mountain View Park Cemetery, 410 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064. Serving as pallbearers are Stephen Turner, Brian Goolsby, Isaac Ledford, Jeff Carter, Luke Montgomery and Mike Reed.

The Hope Lodge is a non-profit organization that provides rooms to family so they can be close to their loved one.
