Stephen James Galvin, 58, of Acworth, GA peacefully passed away at home on January 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Steve bravely stood up to pancreatic cancer for 4.5 years. He suffers no more, his miracle has come.
Steve was married to Bethany A Galvin for 33 years. They have a son, Nicholas and daughter Morgan who dearly loved their dad. Steve was employed by Lexis Nexis for over 17 years. The way he cared and loved his clients (friends) and teammates are an inspiration to those who he left behind.
Steve is survived by his wife Beth, son and daughter in law, Nick & Kelsey Galvin, daughter Morgan Galvin, grandson Maddox James Galvin, mother, Carolyn S. Galvin, siblings Paul J Galvin (MaryAnn), Elizabeth M Galvin, Mark F Galvin (Stephanie), Laura Galvin and several nieces and a nephew. Steve is preceded in death by his father Francis X Galvin.
In lieu of flowers, Steve would have liked for donations to be made to the Special Needs Development Group, 4361 Cherokee Street, Acworth, GA 30101. This 501C group benefits the Horizon League which provides children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2:00 PM until the service at 3:00 PM.
