Sean Louis Callahan, 24 years young, of Kennesaw, Georgia was called to be with his God on December 18, 2012. Sean was killed in the line of duty doing what he loved to do as a Clayton County police officer.
He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 15, 1988. He attended Lassiter High School, Reinhart College, and Kennesaw State University. He enjoyed swimming, racquetball, and working out. Sean was passionate about music, fitness, family and friends, his dogs, and was also an avid reader.
He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Louis Callahan and Grandfather, Dennis Callahan. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers (Darlene), one sister, Mr. and Mrs. Justin Shirley (Candice), grandparents Douglas and Florence Callahan and Carolyn Callahan.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2012 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Hughes presiding. Burial will follow at Winkerhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
