We are so very saddened to hear about Sally. It is just surreal to think of her gone. We’ve enjoyed being neighbors with her and the family for 18 years...always willing to help if and when needed! I got to know Sally through hours at the pool while I watched Walter and George, and she was with Brycen. I love the way she told it like it was—always candid and honest. And I loved the kindness she showed toward my children. She treated them so real. I especially loved the way she always spoke to George with such respect and enthusiasm! You just talked as if he was just your average kiddo! He likes you for that. And you obviously taught Brycen well because he does the same with George.  George always says hello when we pass by and one of y’all are outside...you just can’t hear him from inside the car!!  Anyway, you’re gone way too soon. Brycen, LA, and Angelo... prayers and  love to y’all. It will most definitely be hard for y’all, but focus on the love and good that y’all  received from her while she was here. And Jane, I don’t know what to say because I know you’re heartbroken. But she loved you so much. Lastly, I wish I could be there tomorrow for the service, but we’re both at work during that time. But please know I’ll be thinking of her and y’all.

Dear Angelo, Brycen, LA and Jane,

I hardly know where to begin this letter....your Mother, Sally,  was a true shining light to all she met and touched!  She loved you all so much and talked about your glowing successes all the time! And the love of her Mother, Jane, who she spoke of constantly and loved so much!!! 

Sally, was my friend and hair stylist for at least 25 years if not longer! That's a long time to catch up for fun and conversations!!!  That's one third of our lives together!!!  We shared the ups, the shocks, the downs, the surprises and most importantly, the joys of life....

I had the honor and pleasure to paint portraits of Brycen and LA when they were young teens! Look at them now....LA is a fine man with a family and child. Brycen is setting the "world on fire" with his entrepeneurial skills! 

You had a " shining light" of a Mom that I know is setting the world on fire in heaven with her passion for life and her stories of love and devotion for her family... may we always remember Sally and seek her strength and love in times of joy and challenge...

It has been our pleasure to have Sally and her family as our "across the street" neighbors for over 30 years.  It has been a joy to watch her fine sons grow up and become adults and to have such great, watchful neighbors and friends.   Sally was always a ray of sunshine and energy, and a friend to all.  She could be counted on to "tell it like it is" and to light up the people and spaces around her.   She was so dear following my recent illness, and we knew we could call on her and Angelo at any time if we needed them.  Although all of our lives were very busy, I could always look out from my home office and see Sally coming or going or see her car parked out in front of their house.  I still expect to see her getting out of her navy, MB SUV, and upon a second glance, I still find it impossible to believe Sally is no longer with us.  Sally will be greatly missed, and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.  We are thankful, though, to still have the Colon family and Jane Longshore as part of our circle.  Please know we are here for you anytime!  May God grant you His peace and comfort in the midst of your sorrow.  <3



Sally was  a wonderful person and an excellent hair stylist.  She was so open and loving. I always felt better after a visit with her. She loved her family so much. I’m so sorry you all had to loose her too soon. She was so proud of you all. She also made me look so much better. She took my baby fine nonexistent hair and magically made it look good. She kept my spirits up through several surgeries. She was amazingly giving and loving. We will all miss her very much.

Sally was a ray of light because she knew who she was and what she had to share.  She dedicated herself to the process of developing herself and gift so that she could give it away to everybody.   Her spirit touched many lives and because of it, they'll be more.  Sally, my sister, shared a bond of closeness with me so dear to my heart of many treasured memories.  I pray that the strength of her love (may you always feel it), the warmth of her spirit (may you always sense it), the honesty of her laughter (may you always hear it) , for all that Sally has meant as your mom, daughter, sister, aunt,  and friend will be remembered with love. For over 15 years, Sally has taken care of my my hair needs. We became friends and I always looked forward to seeing her on a regular basis. Even though I moved to Big Canoe, I continued to drive down to see her and looked forward to getting updates on her family. 

Angelo, she was so proud of you , your work ethic, your attention to detail and your patience and love for your sons and now new grandson.  She looked forward to your weekend getaways.

 LA, she loved you so much and was so proud of all you have done to pursue and further your career and take care of your family.  She knew family was number one for you and could see that you were a great father to Graham. 

Katie, you were the best daughter-in-law and gave her the most precious gift.., her grandson. Graham was the love of her life and she couldn’t get enough of him. He brought her so much joy. Pictures were shared every time I came to see her. 

And Bryson, you were her ‘baby” and look at you now. You are wise beyond your years. Your faith, work ethic and love for your family was evident to your mom on a daily basis. 

Jane, Sally knew she was blessed to have such a wonderful mom as part of her family. She talked about how loving and caring you are and enjoyed your trips to Steinmart and more. She was always happy when her brothers came to town so you could all be together. 

Sally’s sudden passing has been felt by so many of us. She was always upbeat, loving and truly cared for and about so many. She will be missed... My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Was just with Sally on Saturday at her shop & she was in the best mood. She talked all about LA and Bryson, showed me videos & pictures of her grandson Graham. She was grateful for her mom’s good health and how she adds to the family and showed me a recent picture of her. She was appreciative of all that Angelo does for her and the family. I’m so grateful for such a wonderful conversation on that day! I will miss her & her up beat attitude and how loving she always was. I will think of Sally  always. Miss her already. Lots of love to everyone.
