Richard Stewart King, age 79, of Canton, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022. Richard was born March 9, 1943 to the late Walker and Louise King. Richard worked proudly for the Atlanta Police Department for 15 years, as well as FedEx for another 15 years. He was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed reading all about the news. His favorite places to travel to was Ocracoke, NC and Saint Augustine, FL. Richard was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist church, and was very strong in his faith. He loved to learn new things and even tried to learn how to ballroom dance for his wife. Richard was a loving husband, brother and friend. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Richard is survived by his wife of 7 years, Jacqueline King; his daughters Paige King; and Tonya Simmons; his brother Walker King.

A memorial service for Richard will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 2975 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152, followed by a reception following the service.
