Rene Pearl Schnoor, age 79, of Kennesaw passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 surrounded by loving family after a short battle with cancer. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Mames and Lucille Duhon, Rene was proud of her Cajun heritage.
Rene was an administrative assistant for Harco Services in the construction industry. Her deep passion in this life was the love she had for her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking her Cajun dishes for her family at the many family gatherings. She loved to travel, and every birthday she would make her annual trip to Vegas. One special trip was her recent family trip to Hawaii with her entire family, 28 people. Shopping was a favorite pastime for Rene. She enjoyed planting flowers in her yard and would often win Yard of the Month. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers. Her faith was important and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Kennesaw.
If asked, she would say her greatest love was her family, son Cornell (Jeanene) Duhon of Canton, GA; Daughters Cheryl (Carlos) Arnaud of Kennesaw, GA; Angie (Dave) of Langley, BC and Diane (Jerry) Hollis of Dallas, GA; Brother Dalton Duhon of Lafayette, LA and Sister Joyce Dore of Lafayette, LA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and God Daughter, Kim Credeur, whom she loved as her own.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at St. Catherine’s of Siena Catholic Church at 1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Pastor - Fr. Neil Dhabliwala will be officiating.
Visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home from 2pm till 9pm on Wednesday and 9 am till 10 am on Thursday. Internment to be at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw.
