Paul Rodney Martin, 76, of Marietta, GA died early Sunday morning, November 13, 2016. His funeral will be held on Friday, November 18 at noon at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, November 18 from 11:00 AM to noon. The service will be officiated by Rev Neil Cochran of Greenville, SC.
Paul, a retired US Postal Service career employee, is survived by his wife Martha Hall Martin-- of Calhoun, GA and a daughter, Angie Martin Jones of Marietta, GA. He had one grandson, Kelly, age 9, son of Kelso and Angie Jones. Also survived by sisters-in-law Fran Harmon of Calhoun, GA and Joyce Harris of Suwanee, GA.
Paul was a native of Abbeville, SC and the son of John Reid and Janie Winn Martin. He is also survived by a younger brother, Myron Martin, of Hilton Head.
During Paul's 34 years with the Postal Service he delivered mail to downtown Atlanta city and state government office buildings. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and watching his favorite teams: the Braves, the Bulldogs and the Falcons.
