He was a native of New Bedford, MA. He was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Vocational High School and Fisher Junior College with an Associate Degree. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1970 until 1974. Mr. Sorenson had worked at Georgia Tech for 20 plus years.
He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Violet Sorenson; daughter, Jessica Siegel and her husband, Adam; mother, Mildred Sorenson; grandson, Charlie Siegel; brother, Chris Sorenson; sister, Sue Petitpas; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
